Watershed Moment

I had a lightbulb moment while emptying the dehumidifier today. Ha ha, get it? Watershed moment.

Anyway, why am I pouring the water in the dehumidifier container down the drain of the laundry washtub? I could instead pour it into a bucket and take it outside to water some of the plants outside. I'm collecting the water anyway, why not put it to use instead of down the drain?
