About Me

Why Jenneee with three e's? Well, you know there were a lot of us little girls born in the 70's that were named Jennifer, and in my 5th grade class I was one of five. Jenny was taken, as was Jenni, and Jennie.  In a fit of frustration and an attempt to be clever, I spelled my name Jenneee. Over the years through email addresses and web pages the name stuck.

It is true that nobody's life turns out the way they planned.  I never expected to be writing a blog about how to rethink our existence and the impact we make on ourselves and the environment based on the choices we make.  In order to begin recovering from celiac disease and the sensitivities it created in my body, I began paying attention to what I put in and on my body and what was in the environment.  By taking charge of my own health and beginning the journey to recovery, I have seen the reality of how we can heal the world by healing ourselves first. What can I say? Every good thing we do that others can learn from spreads its impact.  There are many things to think about and do to change our world for the better, but it is also important to enjoy ourselves along the way.

As indicated by my bachelor's degree in General Studies, it was difficult to pick one  field of study. Today there are still many projects that I juggle. Knitting and crochet, upcycling things, making jewelry, yoga, Reiki, singing, playing ukulele and the piano, and gluten free cooking are all part of the mix.  Most of these things are a living meditation and practice because they help me to be a better person and to live more gently in my body and on this earth.

Most of these practices are a nice complement to my Reiki practice. More information about Reiki and energy work is available on my personal website, Jennifer Woodward Harris.
